The Company

Schock invented the granite sink in 1979 and have been constantly reinventing it ever since. The result is more than 200 sink models in as many as 40 Colours. Handmade in Germany, Schock is renowned for their global leadership in manufacturing and distributing Granite sinks to the world. In fact, over 1.5 million Schock sinks are sold globally each year!

Why Choose a Schock Granite Sink?

Around 80% of the material used in Schock sinks is quartz, the hardest constituent of granite. The granite used is combined with high-grade acrylic to produce a hardened composite that is resistant to cracks and dirt and is also responsible for the long life of the sink.

The world of Schock, currently comprises two Granite materials – CRISTADUR® and CRISTALITE®.

What’s the best way to tell the difference between the two of them? With your hands! CRISTALITE® has a finish that feels stony and slightly rough, while the patented, pore-less finish of CRISTADUR® shines with a silky-smooth feel. Whereas the premium finish of CRISTADUR® occupies an absolute top spot in the quartz composite market, CRISTALITE® is our ever-popular classic, constantly reinventing itself in many marvellous on-trend colours.

All Schock materials boast the following attributes:

  • Antibacterial
  • Easy to clean
  • Food-safe
  • UV-stable
  • Stain-resistant

What both have in common is their unique product quality that can only come from being handmade by people who put their heart into it. Sinks made from the best raw materials from the local region in Germany with the hands of experienced employees. In their work they always have an eye for detail, a nose for trends and a heart that beats for the extraordinary.

Schock Sinks – A Design Solution

The kitchen has evolved enormously over the last 30 years. It is has gone from a room to prepare meals behind closed doors to a gathering place and the hub of the home. Having a modern kitchen design with the latest fixtures and appliances is a priority for most households. Schock is renowned for its inspirational and variety of designs to help shape your dream kitchen. Let us take you through your Schock sink options:

1. Shape

Choosing a sink shape is not just a matter of individual style, it is also a question of how you use the sink and what you are needing it for. Do you like a square or round bowl? Do you want a sink with or without a drainer? Do you use your sink area as part of your cooking preparation? Do you want to use your sink to wash a lot of fresh produce?

A square Signus, SOHO, Horizont, Typos, Quadro or Vitus bowl design sets the scene for a modern look. For a softer curve bowl solution, a Formhaus or Euro sink is the design for you. Most of these designs are also available with or without an integrated drainer.

2. Inset or Undermount Installation?

Choosing an inset model for your Schock sink means that the rim of your sink will overlap the work surface at the top. This is a classic installation option and can be used for all countertop options including laminate. All Schock sink designs can be installed in this way.

For an easy-care and style-confident option, undermount sink installation might be your solution. This option works best in countertops made of natural stone, ceramic, glass, stainless steel and other solid dense materials. The edge of the sink is pushed directly upon the cut-out in the countertop below, where it lines up perfectly with the countertop. The result is a unique elegant look with no overhanging rim. The SOHO, HORIZONT N200U, Typos TN200, Euro and Quadro are the Schock options using this mounting type.

3. Colour

Schock brings colour to the kitchen. A coloured sink is an effective stylist element that will enhance and individualise any kitchen. It is a great alternative to the drab uniformity of stainless steel.

Schock sinks are available in a wide range of colours. From the latest on-trend colours of black, stone, white, croma and concrete to the bold tones of rouge red, there is a sink colour option for any design.

4. Accessories

Accessories offer purchases the ability to turn their sink into a complete workstation for the kitchen. They are designed to convert a sink into either a preparation area for cooking or to improve the washing process. Schock sinks have the ability to be teamed up with a variety of cutting boards and drainer tray styles.
