Gian Luca Gessi – Entrepreneur of the Year

I’m delighted to announce that On November 22 2012 at Palazzo Mezzanotte, in the headquarters of the Italian Stock Exchange in Milan, the Ceremony for the sixteenth edition of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award® took place, with Gian Luca Gessi, founder and President Gessi Spa – the leading company of Serravalle Sesia (VC) in the field of creation of bathroom concepts and spaces and of wellness instruments – winning the award for the Fashion & Design category.

Gian Luca Gessi won this illustrious award with the following claim: “For winning his challenge, managing to transform a traditional product with low innovation content in a sophisticated furniture object with a strong design, contributing to Made in Italy’s high ranking worldwide”.

According to the Jury of the Prize – composed of well-known institutional representatives, economists, businessmen, and chaired by Ms. Emma Marcegaglia, who wanted to personally congratulate our President – Gian Luca Gessi distinguished himself in his professional field, significantly shaping with his influence our country with his work. The talent, courage, commitment and creativity he demonstrated today deserve extra attention to further enhance his spirit.

The Entrepreneur of the Year® award is a great achievement that Gian Luca Gessi wants to share with all his staff, without whom – he said – without whom this wonderful result would not have been reached.
