Our sustainable sourcing practices ensure we purchase from global suppliers who are environmentally, socially and economically responsible.
As a leading importer of water products to the Australian market, we are constantly engaging with our overseas suppliers on how to reduce the consumption of this precious commodity. Our suppliers of Kitchen Tapware including Gessi, Armando Vicario and Gareth Ashton see our vision and work with us cooperatively to reduce our footprint. The result is Abey Australia importing some of the most water saving products in the world. This includes our Gessi Inedito Collection. With a 5-star rating, it is amongst one of our highest water-efficient Kitchen Tapware lines.
Reducing water consumption involves the constant review of our products and upgrading them based upon new technology. Kitchen Tapware has come a long way. The design of a product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it will meet stringent global standards. The result has been improvements to our Kitchen Tapware Collection. For instance, we are now supplying Gessi’s Kitchen Tapware with a reduced size nozzle. This limits water consumption but has no consequence to the overall performance of the Kitchen Tap.
Our recent collaboration with our Gareth Ashton supplier has resulted in a Sensor Kitchen Tapware being introduced. This tap only operates with motion detection, so it ensures water isn’t being wasted. In addition, the Sensor Kitchen Mixer has a 6 Star Rating, making it the highest rating water saving Kitchen Tap in our collection.
The hoses suppliers insert into their Kitchen Taps are an important component to ensure they are eco-friendly. Our 2021 Collaboration with Neoperl will see our Gareth Ashton Kitchen Tapware being supplied with their environmentally friendly SOFTPEX® Hoses. These reduce the water needed by 79% and have a 61% smaller CO2 footprint than our competitors.
As well as the actual Kitchen Tapware products, we ensure all our Kitchen Tapware packaging is eco-friendly. Being 100% recyclable and using minimal waste, we strive to ensure it is constantly being reviewed to ensure the product is protected but we are reducing our wastage.
