Gessi’s lengthy creative collaboration with designer and sculptor, Prospero Rasulo, has led to revolutionary lifestyle concepts and splendid designs,  which have rendered Gessi a benchmark for the world’s most innovative and glamorous interior design elements. Labels don’t fit Prospero Rasulo. Born in Stigliano di Matera in 1953, Rasulo graduated from the Milan Fine Arts Academy before setting up a studio in the same city.  He painted, sculpted and designed stage sets design. He worked with Studio Alchimia and Alessandro  Mendini, on the ‘Redesign’ and ‘Banal Object’ projects; and created video, photo and exhibit set designs for Studio Occhiomagico. He has participated in the Milan Triennale and he established OXIDO, a design, art and architecture gallery. Oxido became the trademark of collections of furniture and  interior design items.

As an industrial designer, Rasulo has worked with various companies, including Arflex, Foscarini, B.R.F., WMF, Zanotta,  Poltronova Antonio Lupi, Fiam Italia, Mandelli, Glas, Rosenthal, Fabbian and Gessi.
