Abey has one of the largest collections of Stainless Steel Sinks in Australia. Our range is renowned for its superior quality, performance and designs. From our Italian made Barazza range right through to our own Abey Collection, finding the perfect sink is easy with Abey.
Why Stainless Steel Sinks?
Recently, Abey Australia has been privileged to provide Hallmark Homes our quality tapware and sinkware to their kitchen, bathrooms and laundry at their Plainland Display Home. Each piece has been chosen to work beautiful with their interior design and colour scheme.
Stainless steel sinks are always on trend. With a range of bowl designs from square shaped through to round, there is always a product available to meet any design. Popular at the moment is our newest addition – Montego. With its 15mm radius bowl and modern design, it meets all the criteria for a sleek kitchen sink.
The durability of stainless steel can not be compromised. A good quality stainless steel sink will last the test of time. Your stainless steel sink will tolerate any accidentally bangs and hardy wear and tear. All of our Barazza and Abey sinks are made with quality stainless steel in thicknesses that exceed many of our competitors.
Stainless Steel is easy to clean. A quick wipe over daily with a soft cloth and dish washing detergent will help get rid of any grim build up. Our Abey sinks also come with an easy clean pack that allows you to polish your sink to bring back its shine, get rid of any grim build up and to seal the surface to allow water to bead off easily.
There is no need to worry about odours or stains penetrating your stainless steel sink. The result is a perfectly hygienic surface that will ensure not bacteria can get in. With just one wipe most build up can be cleaned away.
Abey has a variety of Stainless Steel options:
- 304 grade steel in metallic, brushed or satin finishes.
- 316 Marine Grade steel is weather resistant and ideal for alfresco settings.
- PVD ‘Physical Vapor Deposition’ coloured stainless-steel sinks are available in 3 different colours: Artisan Copper, Eureka Gold and Black Pearl in our Piazza Collection.
There are three types of installations to consider when choosing a Stainless Steel Sink:
- Inset sink options can be used for all countertop options, including laminate. Edge options:
- Rolled edge, found in more traditional sinks
- Laser edge, found in more contemporary sinks.
- Undermount sink options are ideal for stone countertop options and offer an ease of cleaning the benchtop.
- Flushmount sink options are ideal for stone countertop options and offer a seamless join between the stone and steel of the sink.
Pressed vs Fabricated Sinks
Abey sinks come as either pressed or fabricated. The manufacturing processed of a pressed bowl sink involves the separate pressing of the bowls and drainers before they are welded together and polished to form a complete product.
Fabricated sinks are more labour intensive/hands on and involves cutting, folding and welding a single piece of stainless steel into the design of sink required.
Most of our Abey sinks come with or can be purchased with accessories. Accessories offer purchases the ability to turn their sink into a complete workstation for the kitchen. They are designed to convert a sink into either a preparation area for cooking or to improve the washing process in both the kitchen and alfresco areas.
Our Abey quality tapware is also prevalent in Hallmark Homes Bathroom design. Tapware, Showers and Accessories in a Black finish have all been chosen from our Gareth Ashton Collection. The basin and bath tapware comes from our Park Avenue Range. Park Avenue is a streamlined design that is both functional and beautiful. The choice of the Park Avenue High Basin Mixer (1B2-B) is the perfect reach for the countertop basin. In the bath, the use of a mixer with spout is a practical option for turning the water on and off with ease. The Gareth Ashton Shower Ensemble (SRA06-B) is a sleek rail with an amble shower head and hose. Again to ensure consistency throughout, each of the products chosen from our Gareth Ashton Collection has the same Black finish to make picking and choosing within the range a breeze.
